BEHIND EVERY GREAT VODKA IS A GREAT STORY Ours is Pierre Houpert, our eccentric great-uncle – an artist, an entrepreneur, a true bon vivant. A graduate of the prestigious École des Beaux Arts in Paris, Pierre always followed his instincts. After a brief stint in the French Army during the First World War, he stowed away on a boat headed for New York, where he made his mark as one of the most sought-after interior designers. Then tragedy struck. His young wife died at an early age, and Pierre left for calmer pastures in Connecticut. Here he reinvented himself once more, creating his own fine alcohols and sharing them with a select group of friends. With a distinct attention to detail and great respect for the tried and true vodka making process, this premium Canadian vodka is our pride and joy. Made in small batches in our Tower Hill Road distillery in Montreal, Houpert & Frère is vodka in its purest essence. Served chilled on its own as an aperitif, or in one of your favourite vodka-based drinks, Houpert & Frère artisanal vodka is more than a vodka, it’s a timeless conversation piece.
